InSensible

Society the way I see it, fascinates me ceaselessly. We are a fairly religious society, you will find numerous places of worship. They remain open from early morning to late evening, people visit them according to their convenience and pray/demand numerous favors.Priests often have shifts but no shifts for Gods he has to be there all throughout. Simple wants range from money, that house, that bike to really complex ones... I want to be happy, give me peace.

I wonder how does God keep track of all these, On any given day there will be hundreds of people visiting a temple, and if it is a fairly popular one than thousands. How does he manage, and sometimes I think, why should he manage. People are very selfish, only in times of need they will bless him with their presence and always with a demand. I wonder if anyone prays to God out of respect or reverence or pure spiritually. You have these other class of people who donate stuff to temples which is a good thing, but then they do something unthinkable, etch their names on it , sort of permanent advertisement!.

During festivals, it becomes fairly uncomfortable inside teh temples, "Its very hot here, lets finish the puja quickly" it has often come to my mind and I do feel bad about it. Does anyone think about the God, who is assumed to be present inside the temple, throughout the day. he has to grant your wishes but no one cares for his comfort. He has to bear all the smoke and noise throughout the day.

I know, what am I talking about, You are concerned of the welfare of the Gods, what do you think !!. Well doubts like this have come to my mind often. But honestly, If I expect him to take care of me, shouldn't I also care for his comforts. It might be a crazy thought , cause its fairly convenient to not think along those lines. What makes me uncomfortable is the hollowness I see in todays religious practices.
