coming to think of it, they both are kin of similar, the same level of intoxication , lost in the music, feeling the music, involuntary movements of body parts , in one the movement is a bit more violent :). You do really feel the music its not just audible vibrations in the air, it touches you . It never occurred to me before, but on Sunday the Kirtan at the Jagannath temple did remind me of rock. The difference probably being rock leaves you with a lot of energy in a state of agitation while a kirtan calms your spirit, one with him. Strange yeah! but thats how I felt.
