Wish

The search for something concrete, something stable , long lasting , trustworthy was on, but probably at the wrong place all this time.

There are three levels at which we connect with people, superficial ... looks , something or someone might look attractive. This level of connection is bound to be fickle and in a sense unfair too. Does that other person / or thing to be judged by the clothes he wears the packaging so to speak. Never believed in this, so it was never a concern for me.

The next level which most of us look at is to connect at a utility level. This is something that was the basis of my judgement till now. What value this thing / person brings to the table. The utility could vary from very materialistic, quantitative things to more qualitative traits. On the quantitative side One could give a certain weightage to financial status, family status, quality of job, future growth prospectus, a house , a car , an ipod or better still an iPhone. It can be ridiculous, to admit but somehow the mind is capable of processing these and ggive you the feedback, without letting your conscience get a whiff of it, its there. You will find it when you detach yourself and introspect on your thoughts.

On the qualitative front, interests, music, values, food habits, social etiquettes, how will my friends folks appreciate him/her, will he/she fit in. This kind of evaluation is supposed to be more superior than the quantitative one, or is perceived to be more superior.

The other level at which people connect is at a spiritual level. Its difficult for me to explain it , cause I have met very few people with whom I have found this kind of compatibility. And those chance meetings were often short lived. Often its a sort of taboo subject to even discuss these, is he nuts ? if not said its in their looks.

When you do connect at this level, you don't need to express it, its understood. You don't have to say it in so many words , everything is communicated probably at a subconscious level. I can imagine this to be the best sort of connection one can have with anyone, its fairly insulated from this world, the communication is free of noise. For the people around you lack the understanding to ever pollute it.And this no doubt will be lasting, you will never feel detached , never feel hollow.There would probably no need for reciprocation, it will be as pure as that. Or thats how I imagine.
