Thanks Kumble

Integrity and honesty is something you cannnot teach anyone, its something thats innate. Kumble knows his glory days are behind him, its time to make way for youngsters. To have the honesty to admit that is a big deal in India. Players here cling on to whatever they can, as long as they can.

Dhoni has done a terrific job as a captain so far, and new blood needs to be introduced in the spin department. Given all this to retire voluntarily is indeed commendable. People will say a player of his stature deserved a better send off, but what better send off can be given to a player when the player himself, walks off the field with his head held high, when he has the satisfaction , that the game which has given him so much will be further strengthened with he making way, when the time comes.
Something of all the people Ganguly should understand, his days are over, the board has already given him the ultimatum that this would be his last series, still he is making noises.

Kumble legacy, honestly I was never much of a fan, but some of his spells in India were match winners, He would tirelessly go on from one end sometimes through the whole day, He was the spearhead of a virtually non existent Indian bowling attack for a long time. Always a man of integrity, aggression the right way on the field. Bowling with a broken jaw, taking Lara's wicket, As Ian Chappel put it, "always defiant, always committed"

Thank you Kumble for the moments you have given and above all for the freshness of your decision, its really commendable.
