A change of heart

I was wondering what really goes on inside the mind of a terrorist. Not the motivational side of it, if you look closer there are always reasons, incidents , conditioning and all that. Thats kind of pretty simple. My thoughts were a little different.

For example what if , a very hypothetical what if, Masood Azhar the guy who we released from our jails for exchange of the hijacked Indian Airlines jet. What if this guy has a turn of heart, we all have these alterations to our thought process over the course of our lifetime, what if this dude saw a certain visual and felt sympathy, felt bad, what if his perspective changes about his religion.

What can he do in that case, he still has to live upto the expectations of his followers, he is a prize catch , a valued asset equated to so many lives on that hijacked plane. He is too important to fall from his pedestal as a terrorist kingpin. Sounds crazy but I think its possible, what sustains my curiosity is if it happens what can he do. The situation is already gone from bad to worse. there is no turning back , or it requires a lot of effort.

What he can do is become a bit lazy and not admit his change of heart, to himself. Thats the critical part not admitting to yourself. And then he can go on fooling himself. Somehow it all sounds familiar, why do we choose to be a conformant coward so many times. and not admit it to ourselves.
