Happy New Year

Lying around ,after waking up late, I have been trying to put down my thoughts on this New year , but its not starting off. Once it starts I know it will flow, but the start is difficult tonight , there are so many shades in it I am not able to decide in which direction to steer her.

Off late I have tried to avoid organized parties , the ones which happen all around especially on new year eve , some expensive booze, continous loud music and people swaying, in no particular order, Everyone trying to have a good time , there is something impersonal about all of them, thigs are expensive , music doesnt connect with you. Music doesnt build up teh atmosphere , its just some continous monotonous beat, its almost sad, what music can do, and what you experience, often I have been tempted to carry my ipod to such parties. I can never honestly dance to Beedi Jaliyale . But having said all that you can still enjoy it, its a quick fix solution, just go there and try not to think too much, lower your expectations and after a couple of drinks it doesnt really matter. I am not too critical of them now , they work for some people , and as long as people think they are happy what the heck !.

With guys there is a very basic formula and it works, music, lots of booze and some better than average starters, and a group that can dish out and appreciate stupid talk, thats it, pretty doable, and not very expensive. But my experiment of not having booze continues and so without that formula its a bit tricky, or thats what I thought . But then once you really want to have fun, if its inside you, and you are free, you really dont need to booze to have fun, you really dont need much .

Like many things, we wander far and away in search of thngs we like, but more often than not, its just around us. While I was waiting for dawn to break on the banks of Hussain Sagar Lake, looking forward to the New Year ......and then after a while the sight of the morning sun breaking through, nothing so far would come close to this New Year eve experience. IT was nice :)
